How to configure Oracle
Identity Management Realm (Configuring OID Realm)
Note:
The following are the roles associated with the OID server
- OID global administrator
- Identity management realm-specific or domain administrator
- Application-specific administrator
The following is a list of the default users created in OID during
the OracleAS Infrastructure installation.
- OID Super user
- Guest user
- Proxy user
- Default identity management realm super user
The following is a list of the objects of an identity management
realm
- Root Oracle Context
- Identity management realm
- Identity management Realm-Specific Oracle Context
The following is a list of the difference between hosted and
nonghosted directory deployments
- A hosted environment is one where an enterprise makes various
Oracle components available to other enterprises and stores
information for them.
- A nonhosted environment is one where a single enterprise installs
OID to support different Oracle components for its own use.
To view the common entries of the default identity management realm,
log in to ODM as orcladmin. Then expand the �Entry management� node
and navigate to the entry cn=Common. You can view different
attributes of the identity management realm. In this window, the
right pane will display the attributes that define the DN of the
entries under which all the users or group in that identity
management realm are created. Browse through and see how easy is to
maintain an entries. |
